Tasting notes: The first impression is the beautiful chestnut color which perfectly reflects the content of the bottle which offers tastes of brown sugar, butterscotch, coconut,
citrus, marzipan, tropical fruit, dried apricot, dark spices and nuts. A very taste-intense rum with particularly balanced acidity and sweetness. HOODED is the barrel-aged version of the series SPOTTED SKUNK, which is clearly tasted in the sweetness of this rum – completely without adding any sugar or color.

Trop fort pour une dégustation de rhum,
Malgré tout, assez parfumé
Odeur pas tres agréable de sucre et de gras bizarre. Note d’ouverture pas tres agréable/ agressive. Devient de plus en mauvais et fort au file de la dégustation. Définitivement trop agressif pour moi. Se rapproche très rapidement d’un mauvais rhum voir whisky blanc. Le goût confirme la l’impression olphactive. Beurk plus jamais.
Not for me. The smell was not good and the taste for me personally was not desired at all .

Man darf nur nippen, weil man die Prozente schon merkt. Aber geschmacklich echt gut, aber definitiv nichts für jeden Tag.

Desirae – I really do not like this rum as it is a pool of olives and butter to me. Not a fan and would wish to give 0/5 for the taste being not of my favour. However I appreciated the experience and presentation.
Ryan- Getting a strong scent and flavor of olives… Some sweetness… Maybe balsamic.. definitely an acquired taste
Kicking, strong, nice smell, caramel amd nuts.
The name suites the taste. The first smell of it tells me a little of the forthcoming taste. In my mouth it taste like dirty unfinished liqueur. The taste is further strange, reminds me of damp soil, mould. Rutten wood. I will not recommend this rum to anyone.

Je n’ai pas retrouvé les arômes annoncées mais plutôt de la pomme. Ça me rappelle un Calvados

Wow very interesting rum. I would love a bottle in my collection, but can’t find anywhere that sells it in Canada.
Not something I’d ever consider to buy or even test again. (Why isn’t there a zero star rating?)
I think mine went bad in the bottle. Wet cardboard taste. If a lengthy aftertaste is what they were after, then well done! It prevails for some time.
