Mocambo Ron Añejo 20 YO

Mocambo Ron Añejo 20 YO

Magnificent and exclusive creation. Our Art Edition pays homage to the old pre-Columbian techniques, mixed with an Añejo Rum of flavor and character, that only the nobility of origin and the knowledge of time can give us. The unique vision of Maestro Víctor Fernández, with the vegetable fibers of the amate, lead him to decorate this wonderful Rum applying the ancient Mexican arts in contemporary art.

Aged at 900 meters above sea level in a humid subtropical climate, in European white oak wine barrels. Ron Mocambo 20 years imperial magnum, is a limited art edition, packaged in a 5-liter presentation, exclusive creation of Veracruz liquors. Every artist portrays his environment, and in Córdoba – land, exuberant and noble – he takes sugarcane as raw material, brought by the first Europeans when they discovered America, and which found the ideal elements for its cultivation in our region. In Córdoba, climate and altitude seem to have conspired, for more than four hundred years, to give the most delicate notes to drinks produced from sugar cane honey. Rum has been, throughout history, a drink of nobles, pirates, and soldiers. It has been medicine, amulet. It has been spread in celebrations and for many it has been the only consolation. It has gone around the world several times, changing its name, its color, hiding its origin. It is a legend that, finally liquid, takes the shape and name of the container that contains it: Ron Mocambo 20 Art Edition is total art.

Tasting Notes: Color : Mahogany color, with golden and amber flashes. Perfectly clean. Excellent brilliance and high density that promises a great body, suggestive and slow draining. Nose : Complex, very interesting, the attack is dominated by the barrel, notes of vanilla, caramel, almonds, hazelnuts and tobacco. Mouth : Balanced, pleasant and refined; very fine on the palate with a subtle and elegant woody finish

Whistler Solera

Whistler Solera

Whistler Master Solera. Strong rum character molded by soft fruity notes gained from port barrels. It's like the tattooed biker who refuses to wear a helmet, but rides for charity and loves his mom. Matured using the Spanish Solera method with 7 different types of barrels. White wine, red wine, bourbon, whiskey, brandy, port and another type that we never seem to remember, all add to a complex rum. A first in South Africa

Whistler Rum Distillery was founded by three guys from South Africa keen on producing their own rum. Despite rum not being a popular spirit in their home country, they succeeded in their mission. Today the distillery is the largest rum distillery in South Africa that is dedicated to one sacred quest: to perfect and reinvent the ancient art of rum-making.The Whistler Distillery is located on a farm in the Free State, South Africa. The distillery was designed and built by local engineers experts with long experiences in the distilling industry. To produce rums, Whistler only uses high quality KZM molasses, sourced from local sugarcane farms, brown sugar from Swaziland and barrels that previously were used for African brandy or whisky. Eventhough there are no legal regulations on rum in Africa, the founders of Whistler define true African style rum as follows: 1. African style rum must be produced in Africa. 2. African style rum must be produced in equipment designed and built in Africa. 3. African style rum must be produced by a born and bred African. 4. only locally sourced sugarcane can be used for the production of rum. 5. We have made anthems for the dancefloor for 25 years and we still devotedly do so, as we’re sure, you already know. However 8 years ago our passion for rum plunged us into creating a rum brand of our own and we have progressively become more and more ambitious in our search for the ultimate sipping rum.As the name suggests, this is the fifth rum created by us and yes, there has been a Rum no. One, Two, Three and Four prior to this Rum no. Five. Produced in proud nations such as Guyana, Dominican Republic and Guatemala, we have made exclusive blends – even with the addition of cognac cask or infusing the rum with coconut and orange. With this, The Infernal Rum no. Five, however, we have cut to the bone and chosen a classic, exquisite Guatemalan rum and we have kept it clean and simple. It is based on molasses, resulting in a classic, approachable rum to begin with. Then – to add character and complexity, it has aged tropically for four years on American Bourbon casks – maintaining and enhancing the natural sweetness and fulness while letting the cask add layers to both the scent and flavour. The humidity of the tropics accelerates the aging and when the angel share has evaporated, you are left with a perfectly balanced, smooth sipping rum with a beautiful, deep golden amber colour.

Tasting Notes:On the nose you will first find brown sugar, a bit of spices, caramel fudge, vanilla and prune. Beyond that there are hints of leather and dark chokolate. On the palate it is at for a quick moment suprisingly slender and mineral - then the experience unfolds and you will find notes of burnt sugar, spices, toffee, vanilla and after that hints of coffee, ripe, dark berries and almonds

Naga Anggur

NAGA Anggur symbolizes the reunion of Bordeaux origins of the creators of NAGA rum and their passion for rum and travel that led them to discover the Batavia Arrack, the Indonesian rum. Thus, NAGA Anggur is the fruit of the marriage between the Indonesian rum and the wine of Saint Emilion, between the NAGA Java Reserve and Château Pas de l’Ane.

From Indonesia - Java Island to Indochinese peninsula.... Naga Rums explore asian traditions of sugar cane cultivation and rum distillation. The Nagas are one of the cultural and mythological links that unite this immense territory that stretches from the Bay of Bengal to the Java Sea, from the Indian Ocean to the Pacific Ocean. The figure of Naga is associated with water and fertility; the naga can be protective, nurturing and even creative. And although they live in their own kingdom, some nagas can transform themselves to visit the world of humans in the form of a snake or a handsome young man. The name Naga is that of the mythical creature of Asia, Serpent guardian of the treasures of the earth and symbol of prosperity, fertility and protector Of the treasures of nature. The nāga is a mythical being of Hinduism, but the word also means basically: serpent. The naga in religion keep the treasures of nature, are attached to water and bring prosperity. In the legends of India and all of Southeast Asia, the nâgas are inhabitants of the underworld where they jealously guard the treasures of the earth. It is also in the naga that the fertility of the soil is due. Elaboration process: 1. Extraction of barrels (Seguin Moreau / French oak) that contained during 18 months of the Château pas de l’Ane 2018 at Saint Emilion2. They are then filled again but this time with 65% NAGA Java Reserve rum3. After 2 months in barrels the rum is racked, filtered and then bottled

Tasting notes: From tropical Indonesia to Bordeaux vineyards…The nose is a perfect balance between the spicy notes of rum and the fruity and woody notes of the wine. In the mouth again it is the rum that we recognize first with its aromas of candied fruits. Then come the elegant tannins of this beautiful Saint Emilion 2018, these red and black fruits typical of this terroir. Finally, rum and wine are at the end of the palate where the spicy notes of one and the other blend harmoniously and leave the palate greedy cravings elsewhere.

Today, José Manuel Quevedo and his sister Maria Jesus Quevedo proudly perpetuate the family tradition and the craftsmanship elaboration spirit of the first rum masters

Our history is one of heritage. The brand’s origins and roots are associated with the legendary Château du Breuil. A true Normandy flagship property, for over 400 years the estate has been owned by prominent families who have lovingly preserved it. La Spiriterie Française, Château du Breuil Normandy is therefore an intelligent combination of 67 years of history and future ambitions, the coming together of several identities with complementary backgrounds and approaches. It possesses a collection of styles that lend themselves to the enrichment of the aromatic profiles of its spirits taking drinkers on new sensory journeys.

This Canary Island rum has been aged several months in the Château du Breuil cellar. Its journey in American oak, red pineau or white pineau brings roundness, an elegant structure and spicy, fruity and floral aromas.

Tasting Notes: Color: Orange brown with mahogany hints. Nose: Great softness, opulent. Aromatic profile of sugarcane adds up to touches of soft spices, honey, raisins and citrus zests. Palate: Supple attack then reveals supple tannins with blond tobacco and cocoa.

William Hinton 5 Cask Blend 2023

William Hinton 5 Cask Blend 2023

This unique Agricole rum from Madeira Island was created solely for the 2023 24 Days of Rum calendar. It's the same blend as the 2022 edition but aged for an extra year in 5 casks: Ex-Madeira Wine, Ex-Whiskey, Ex-Brandy, Ex-North of Portugal Fortified Wine, and Ex-South of Spain Fortified Wine.

The story behind the brand/rumEngenho Novo da Madeira is a company that is passionate about transforming sugar cane into Agricole Rum under the William Hinton brand, as well as producing liquors using traditional techniques and locally selected fruits. We also produce a unique Vermouth that is made with Madeira Wine, which is the first and only of its kind! Founded in 2006 by one of the heirs of the Hinton family, who were the owners of Europe's largest sugar cane processing plant, the "Fábrica do Torreão". We inherited our centenary column still from this plant, which we still use today to extract our rum. Under the leadership of this new generation of entrepreneurs, the historic legacy of the Hinton brand has been reborn, and Rum da Madeira is now our main focus.

Our values of experience, authenticity, innovation, and transparent communication are at the core of the William Hinton brand. We are proud to say that our products are now available in over twenty international markets, and we received the "Portuguese Product of the Year" award at the Lisbon Bar Show, which is the most prestigious spirits fair in Portugal. We have a big history with sugarcane that dates back to the early colonization days, and we have learned how to take advantage of the natural conditions offered by our beautiful island. For example, we created irrigation channels called "levadas," which span 2200 km across the island to bring water from the north to the south. These levadas were built by hand and are fundamental for agriculture. They are also an attraction for tourists and locals who appreciate their beauty. Master Blender tasting note:“Rum of great aromatic complexity, with an emphasis on vanilla and wood.On the palate, it presents smoked and toasted notes balanced with a slight vanilla and caramel sweetness. Medium persistence rum.” Take your time, let it breathe and enjoy. Saúde!

Tasting Notes: Appearance: This Agricole rum boasts a clear, bright color with alluring amber hues and abundant copper reflections that shimmer in the glass.Aroma: Crafted from a blend of five rums aged in barrels from diverse origins, this four-year-old rum offers an impressive aromatic intensity and a bouquet of great richness and complexity. The fragrance begins with fresh, resinous notes and evolves into a captivating blend of caramel, chocolate, smoked nuances, dried fruits (such as green walnut), and dried vegetable notes, with a distinct emphasis on hay and tobacco.Flavor: With its well-structured and round body, this rum offers a warm and frank taste on the palate. Saline and balanced, it delights the senses with flavors of caramel, black pepper, licorice, nuts, and toasted oak. The finish is distinct and fine, with a dryness that lingers for a medium-long time. This is a must-try rum for anyone who appreciates a balanced and complex spirit with a persistent finish.

Romero & Sons Solera

Romero & Sons Solera Especial, is a fine Ecuadorean rum from the namesake Romero & Sons distillery. The only Solera product from this Quito-based producer, it consists of a blend of rums aged between 6 and 15 years, resulting in a mellow profile that is ideal for sipping or cocktails.

In 1906 Industrias Romero was founded in Quito by Alfonso Romero, grandfather of the current management, brother and sister Johan & Ivanova Romero.Since the beginning the company was active in the field of distillation, both as a distilling company and as a service provider for the then incipient Ecuadorean spirits industry. Nowadays, over a 100 years later, the company maintains operations in the same areas in which it started. In all these years, the family has mastered the art of distilling, passing the knowledge from generation to generation, all the while garnering an impressive stock of very old, self-distilled rum casks. Fueled by the desire to show the world the result of this accumulated experience, Johan & Ivanova decided in 2020 to launch “Romero & Sons”, Ecuador’s true small batch rum brand. Romero & Sons rum brand, was created with the declared intention of becoming the #1 brand of true small batch, un-dosed rums from Ecuador. Produced under the same fermentation, distillation and aging techniques used by the original founder over a hundred years ago, Romero & Sons mystique is rather simple: a product that stands out through impeccable technique and quality, not through marketing and sophisticated dosage.

Plantation Xaymaca

Plantation Xaymaca

With Xaymaca Special Dry, Plantation revives the quintessential Jamaican-style, 100% pot still rums of the 19th century with an expression of intense flavors that reveal the traditional, legendary « Rum Funk » : aromas and flavors of black banana and flambéed pineapple, locally called "Hogo," an Anglicization of the French term "Haut Goût" (high taste).

With Xaymaca Special Dry, we wanted to dive into the iconic culture that is unique to Jamaican rum. We wanted to work with these complex flavors of overripe exotic fruits with an almost "animal intensity". We can still find certain white rums with this famous « rum funk ».

That is why we are launching Xaymaca Special Dry, which is a tribute to this ancestral culture of rum" explains Alexandre Gabriel, Master Blender and creator of Plantation Rum.

Xaymaca evokes the name given to the island by its first inhabitants, the Arawaks. This nectar is a return to the origins of Jamaican rum, in all its complexity and intensity. With its latest investment in the Caribbean, Plantation now owns a third of the mythical "Long Pond" and "Clarendon" Jamaican distilleries. Thanks to these exceptional production tools, Alexandre Gabriel made his dream of blending a 100% pot still Jamaican rum a reality. "The access to these 2 emblematic distilleries with their retort stills, which look like ancient pachyderms, is the realization of dream. It allowed me to dive into this ancestral tradition and create a rum that I had wanted for a long time."Xaymaca Special Dry is a blend of rums distilled in the old John Dore pot still at Long Pond and the Vendôme at Clarendon. The idea is to boldly assert the powerful and expressive character of these rums.

TASTING NOTES:Nose : Very complex, slightly smoky and meaty with fruity, herbal and sour notes building up. Next vanilla come forward, almost pastry-like, with cooked banana, bitter orange peel and ripe pineapple. Palate : Dry, with a more floral and fruitier profile of rose water, soursop, pear, white grape, apricot and sugar-apple. Next some coconut milk, balsam, allspices, bread and nuts emerge.

Chairman's Reserve Original

Chairman's Reserve Original

Chariman’s Reserve was first blended in 1999. Overseen by then Chairman, Laurie Barnard, as a special project to create a fine quality rum that can represent the iconic style of St. Lucian rum. As a simple line of distinction, Chairman’s Reserve starts with selected aged rums of both coffey column stills and copper pot stills, married together after maturation, and then re-entered into oak for blending and final finishing. The end result has become the flagship St. Lucian rum known for its harmonious well-rounded finesse and style with tremendous character for cocktails and sipping experiences.

Saint Lucia's Finest Rum, Chairman's Reserve, is as iconic as the Piton Mountains which adorn its bottle. Pour a glass and you'll be instantly transported to the gorgeous palm-fringed beaches, miles of lush rainforest, and lively nightlife full of tradition and culture which embody Saint Lucia. You won't find an age statement on a bottle of Chairman's Reserve. This is because we believe in the philosophy set forth by the late "Chairman" Laurie Barnard, which this quote of his can best summarize:“We do not put age statements on our rums because we believe passionately that complexity and balance can only be maximized by blending old, complex, but often ‘woody’ rums with fresher but characterful rums.”

Though Laurie passed in 2012, his quality control and blending team continues to embrace the techniques and standards passed down to them through his tutelage. Our head blender, Deny Duplessis, tastes each batch of Chairman's reserve to ensure that the quality and consistency live up to the internationally recognized name of Chairman's Reserve - Saint Lucia's finest rum. St. Lucia Distillers is the last remaining distillery in Saint Lucia and was a result of a merger between the two then remaining distilleries in 1972.

Following the collapse of the sugar industry and the last sugar estate closing in Saint Lucia in the 1960s, previous on-island sources of molasses were extinguished. St. Lucia Distillers adapted to the times and began importing molasses from neighboring islands by tanker boat, using the convenient depth of the nearby bay, Roseau Bay, to anchor.

Tasting notes: Rich dark amber in color, typical pot still richness comes through the aromas carried by whiffs of cooked banana, caramelized fruits and spicy oak derived vanilla. A wellbalanced mid-palate provides structure around flavors of chocolate, golden raisin, tobacco and clove, which dissipates over a long creamy finish.
