Cartavio Rum Company is a private company whose factory is located in Avenida Santa Elena s/n Cartavio Ascope, La Libertad, and its commercial office is located at Avenida La Molina 140 Ate. Cartavio Rum Company is focused on the manufacturing and sale of alcoholic beverages, ethyl alcohol and alcoholic concentrate for Ron. Cartavios story dates back to April 29, 1929 on which the operations began at the Cartavio Plant. In October 1968 due to the process of land reform the Peruvian government took over operations of the plant. In January 1978 the Peruvian state establishes Sociedad Paramonga Ltda., who assume the administration of the Cartavio Plant. April 1994 marks a milestone in the history when we acquires the module of the Chemical and Liquor plants of Cartavio to Sociedad Paramonga Ltda., therefore Empresa Industrial Cartavio S.A is established. Empresa Industrial Cartavio S.A operates until March 2001 when its corporate name changes to DESTILERIAS UNIDAS SAC. Since then Cartavio Rum Company has been innovating their processes of fermentation, distillation and bottling with the latest technology combining also traditional techniques for aging and mixtures, with experienced and trained staff. After undergoing a continuous process of improvement, modernizing facilities, consolidating its leadership in the rum category and showing that it has the best rum in the world in the most prestigious international competitions, Destilerias Unidas SAC is reborn under the name CARTAVIO RUM COMPANY, to conquer the world. Currently Cartavio Rum Company is the absolute leader in the markets of Rum, Vodka and Gin, also participating in various categories like Pisco, whiskey, tequila and other liquors owned and represented brands. Also in agreement to the Cartavio brand guideline of internalization, Cartavio Rum Company is exporting its flagship brand to 8 countries (Ecuador, Chile, Italy, Russia, Spain, Germany, England and Japan).
